พระเจ้าข้าทรงเป็นป้อมปราการ
ทรงฤทธิ์มั่นคงไม่สะท้าน
ถึงแม้เหตุร้ายมีอยู่รอบด้าน
ทรงช่วยปลดเปลื้อง ข้าไม่หวั่น
ศัตรูตัวเก่าเรานี้ ยังคงหาทางโจมตี
ด้วยกำลังและอุบาย
ทั้งทารุณและโหดร้าย
ไม่มีผู้ใดอาจสู้ได้
หากเราอาศัยกำลังของตน
ต้องแพ้แม้สู้รบดิ้นรน
ผู้ถูกเลือกสรร ทรงอยู่ข้างกาย
เหตุใดไม่พึ่งองค์ทรงชัย
บุคคลผู้เหมาะสมนี้
คือองค์พระคริสต์ราศี
ทรงเป็นจอมพลโยธา
ไม่เปลี่ยนสืบไปทุกครา
มีชัยผู้เดียวทุกเวลา
ถึงแม้โลกนี้เต็มด้วยมารร้าย
ส่งเสียงกึกก้องหมายทำลาย
แต่พระเป็นเจ้าทรงได้ตั้งข้า
ให้ความจริงนั้นได้ชนะ
ชื่อเสียง ผลได้ห่างไป
เป็นตาย ข้าไม่ใส่ใจ
แม้กายถูกฆ่าอาสัญ
ความจริงคงอยู่นิรันดร์
อาณาจักรดำรงนิรันดร์
A mighty Fortress is our God,
A Bulwark never failing;
Our Helper He amid the flood
Of mortal ills prevailing:
For still our ancient foe
Doth seek to work us woe;
His craft and power are great,
And, armed with cruel hate,
On earth is not his equal.
Did we in our own strength confide,
Our striving would be losing;
Were not the right Man on our side,
The Man of God’s own choosing:
Dost ask who that may be?
Christ Jesus, it is He;
Lord Sabaoth His Name,
From age to age the same,
And He must win the battle.
And though this world, with devils filled,
Should threaten to undo us,
We will not fear, for God hath willed
His truth to triumph through us:
The Prince of Darkness grim,
We tremble not for him;
His rage we can endure,
For lo! his doom is sure,
One little word shall fell him.
That word above all earthly powers,
No thanks to them, abideth;
The Spirit and the gifts are ours
Through Him who with us sideth:
Let goods and kindred go,
This mortal life also;
The body they may kill:
God’s truth abideth still,
His Kingdom is forever.

我神是我大能堡壘，
堅固保障永不頹；
致命兇惡雖在包圍，
祂作幫助我何畏。
我們老舊仇敵
仍在尋隙攻擊，
詭計、能力都大，
又加狠心、毒辣，
地上無人能抵他。

我們若靠自己力量，
奮鬥爭戰必失敗；
神選之人豈非在旁？
為何不將祂倚賴？
這位適當之人，
乃是基督本身；
祂是萬軍之主，
萬世萬代無殊，
勝利永遠惟祂屬。

世界雖然充滿鬼魔，
常施驚嚇謀毀壞，
但是我神定規藉我
使祂真理得奏凱。
名利都可遠離，
生死我也不計；
即使殺我身體，
真理仍然屹立，
神的國度永無已。
