พระเจ้าประทานความรักปัญญา
ยามบาปชั่วช้านักหนา
อาดามสุดท้ายสู้รบได้ชัย
ประทานความรอดยิ่งใหญ่
พระเจ้าผู้ทรงปัญญาความรัก
แม้อาดามพ่ายแพ้หนัก
พระเจ้าประสงค์ให้มนุษย์นี้
สู้รบชนะอีกที
ของประทานเหนือพระคุณทั้งหมด
พระเจ้าทรงมาปรากฏ
ตัวพระเจ้าเอง ธาตุแท้พระเจ้า
หล่อหลอมเลือดเนื้ออย่างเรา
พระเจ้าทรงความรักใหญ่ที่สุด
มาอยู่ภายในมนุษย์
สังหารศัตรู เจ้าแห่งความตาย
ทนทุกข์กระทั่งวางวาย
ที่ลับในสวน โศกเศร้ากันแสง
กางเขนตรึงตายที่แจ้ง
สิ่งนี้เพื่อสอนพี่น้องทั้งหลาย
สู้ตายทนทุกข์อย่างใด
พระองค์ผู้เป็นมนุษย์พระเจ้า
ทรงสภาพมนุษย์เรา
กระทำอัศจรรย์เพื่อข้ามากมาย
ควรข้าเชิดชูสืบไป
Praise to the Holiest in the height,
And in the depth be praise:
In all His words most wonderful;
Most sure in all His ways.
O loving wisdom of our God,
When all was sin and shame,
He, the last Adam, to the fight
And to the rescue came.
O wisest love! that flesh and blood
Which did in Adam fail,
Should strive afresh against the foe,
Should strive and should prevail.
And that a higher gift than grace
Should flesh and blood refine,
Gods presence, and His very self
And essence all-divine.
O generous love! that He, who smote
In man for man the foe,
The double agony in man
For man should undergo.
And in the garden secretly,
And on the cross on high,
Should teach His brethren, and inspire
To suffer and to die.
Praise to the Holiest in the height,
And in the depth be praise:
In all His words most wonderful;
Most sure in all His ways.

哦，我神那施愛智慧！
罪惡正盛時候，
末後亞當就來爭戰，
並來施行拯救。

哦，我神那最智之愛！
亞當雖然失敗，
但祂仍要血肉之人，
重新爭戰奏凱。
3
要一比恩更高恩賜，
就是神的出現，
和神自己，並神本質，
來將血肉提煉。
4
哦，我神那慷慨之愛！
祂來在人裡面，
為人擊殺掌死仇敵，
並且忍死受難。
5
暗中在那園裡哀哭，
明處十架受死，
都是教導祂的弟兄，
如何苦死不辭。

哦主，你這神而人者，
在我人性裡面，
為我所作何多、何妙，
配我永遠稱讚！
