ไม่ใช่ยามนี้ เฝ้านายกลับมา

ไม่ใช่ที่นี่ที่ใดสัญญา

ปวงข้าจึงจะเข้าใจครบถ้วน

ความหมายทั้งสิ้นน้ำตาคร่ำครวญ

สายใยขาดไปแต่ก็ต่อติด

ยังมีหนทางตลอดชีวิต

สวรรค์อาจไขความลึกลับได้

วันนั้น วันนั้นข้าจะเข้าใจ

เหตุใดเมฆทึบปิดบังตะวัน

เหตุใดเงียบเหงาแทนเล้าโลมนั้น

เหตุใดคร่ำครวญมากกว่าเสียงเพลง

วันนั้นพวกเราจะรู้ได้เอง

เหตุใดวิงวอน ไม่สดับฟัง

เหตุใดใกล้เสร็จกลับได้พลาดพลั้ง

เหตุใดความหวังดั่งฝันสลาย

วันนั้น ที่นั่นข้าจะเข้าใจ

ทรงถือกุญแจ ทรงรู้ทางข้า

พระองค์นำพาเปี่ยมด้วยปัญญา

วันหนึ่งตาข้าเห็นสิ่งทั้งหลาย

ทรงอยู่ที่นั่น ข้าจะเข้าใจ

Not now, but in the coming years,

It may be when with Christ we stand,

We’ll read the meaning of our tears,

And there, sometime, we’ll understand.

Then trust in God through all thy days;

Fear not, for He doth hold thy hand;

Though dark thy way, still sing and praise,

Sometime, sometime, we’ll understand.

We’ll catch the broken thread again,

And finish what we here began;

God will the mysteries explain,

We’ll know why clouds instead of sun
